It was very long, the line for this place, when we passed by after getting our coffees. 

As usual I have the most difficult time of my life when there are too many choices in front of me:

I had to take a picture of the menu cause my eyesight is bad and I needed to read it from my camera instead

I said, okay I will get ice cream sandwich because that's what they do here. But was already super full from lunch sandwiches so I decided on no cookie.

And then settled on the cup of almond ice cream

But was still wishy washy and ended up telling the girl to change it to ice cream sandwich

She was like, girl, are you seriously making me change your order like more than once?

Seems you can mix in toppings like cold stone (the steel counter railing is a chilled one)

Cookie was warm and ice cream melted fast

We devoured the whole thing in store

The first time I've had honey-lavender flavoured food was in Dolores Park, when Bi-Rite was giving out free ice cream. It was so delicious. I ate the whole thing. 

And so when I saw that they had honey-lavender here I ordered it too.

Along with the green tea because we needed dessert after whatever we had for dinner (I think it was deep dish pizza) and saying our farewells to a friend.

The guys also chose a chocolate or smores flavour which did not entice me very much.

Anyway I would highly recommend coming here just for the honey lavender gelato. Or if you are in SF, to go to Bi-Rite Creamery for their honey lavender ice cream.

Yes, it sounds like it would taste like febreeze but let me assure you that it is going to taste rather heavenly in your mouth.

This was so very hyped before I even went to Palo. So for each time passed by a Blue Bottle, I got in and ordered something (we only passed by twice though)

I tried both their cold brews, which are on tap right here:

And added almond milk because they are too hipster for the whole milk I ask for at every coffee place.

And a black cold brew was also ordered

Short and sweet post so I can get on with the second half of the sandwich afternoon I was having in Palo.

When friend from Canada came to visit us in Cali, they were telling us to visit Nola (no, I don't expect you to know who they are, nor do I remember who it was who suggested going to Nola).

So we looked through the menu, and it looked pretty interesting enough - and the feels inside were rather warm and cozy...

We ended up getting sandwiches (wow, something I actually never order, like burgers, but I did anyway).

So here is the grilled chicken/pesto sandwich, oyster sandwich, shrimp po-boy

Macaroni and cheese, salad, fries, for sides

Food was not extraordinary. It seems that we had ordered all the wrong things (we had then been suggested to order jambalaya, amongst other cajun-y things)

But the highlight of the day was not food (what a change) but the visit to beautiful Stanford.

With its own public transportation because it is so large, we ended up staying there for the majority of our afternoon - taking pictures and wishing we went to school there instead of Waterloo (because it is so beautiful)
